Honoured to speak at Google DevFest London 2025 on “Designing for Transparency in AI: Building Trustworthy User Experiences.”

AI has become an integral part of everyday products; however, the biggest challenge to its adoption isn’t just model accuracy; it’s trust.

My session explored how designers and developers can build AI systems that users understand well enough to predict and collaborate with.

I discussed:

Practical techniques for designing system architectures, flows, and AI’s tone to match human mental models while revealing how the model works to users.

The transparency spectrum for AI systems and how to design for different confidence levels.

Frameworks for handling edge cases in AI interactions

Handling automation misfires by offering manual controls to users to restore trust and protect agency.

Progressive and inline product education implementation for AI interfaces.
